Please keep calm! Our hotel is optimally protected by a modern fire alarm system. Please do not use the lift under any circumstances. Fire extinguishers are located on each floor. Assembly point at the local history museum/church.

It entitles you to reduced admission to the sports centre with indoor swimming pool and ice rink. Free local bus. Discount on various events organised by Grindelwald Tourism. Reduced admission to the local history museum and the glacier gorge (summer only), reduced tickets for the First and Pfingstegg cable cars (summer).

For the sake of the environment, we obtain all our heat from the CO2 neutral Grindelwald wood district heating plant.

You can settle the hotel bill in the morning from 7:00 or the evening before departure between 21:00 and 22:00.

Postcards and stamps are available against cash payment at the reception. A post box is located opposite the house by the church.

We serve breakfast between 07:00 and 10:00 in summer and between 07:30 and 10:00 in winter. Should you wish to leave the hotel earlier, we will be happy to prepare a packed breakfast for you. Please order in advance the evening before by 18:00 at the latest.

For dinner, we will gladly reserve a table for you at the Hotel Fiescherblick or, depending on availability, at our partner establishment, the Hotel Gletschergarten, right next door.

We are also happy to cook vegetarian meals for you or fulfil other special meal requests – if possible.

Find out which mountain railways and ski lifts are currently open and what the snow conditions are like by checking the Jungfrau Railways live slope data. You can buy tickets at the normal price directly at our reception – then it’s straight to the cable car.

It is located on the right/east side at the hotel. The room key also fits the night door. Please be sure to take it with you if you return home late after 22:00.

There are plenty of marked parking spaces available free of charge. If parking to the west of the hotel, we urge you to leave the car keys at reception.

The Wüthrich bakery opposite is recommended for your refreshments en route.

The law in the canton of Bern prohibits smoking in all publicly accessible rooms. We thank you for smoking only on the balcony. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms.

Have you forgotten your toothbrush or toothpaste? You can buy these items at reception.

In the wardrobe of your room you will find a safe including operating instructions. You can set a pin code yourself. No liability is accepted for stolen items.

You can buy all mountain railway tickets and ski passes for the Jungfrau Region at reception at the normal rates. This way you avoid the queue at the cable cars. We are also happy to organise paragliding tickets for you. And you can book activities such as river rafting, canyon swing and skydiving in the region online with our friends from Outdoor Switzerland. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can get a ticket for the Glacier Canyon or the Rope Park, for example.

This single-track, steerable sports sledge has served the people of Grindelwald since 1911 as a means of transport and alternatives to the normal sledge in winter. Try out the Grindelwald one-off. You can hire Velogemel from us (subject to a charge). Ask at the reception for availability and our recommendations.

Our tap water in Grindelwald is of the best drinking water quality.

That is why we are part of the Green Hotel initiative of the organisation “Wasser für Wasser”. This means that we are committed to the environment by serving local, high-quality drinking water in our hotels. By not using bottled water, we reduce unnecessary transport and packaging material.

So you can easily fill up the empty carafe in your room at the tap in the bathroom.
